The Ark Encounter

The Ark Encounter is a one-of-a-kind museum in Williamstown, KY, featuring a full-size replica of Noah’s Ark where visitors can learn all the details of the ark, life on the ark, animals on the ark, and more. Ark Encounter is the only exhibit of its kind that will inspire you to think differently about the Biblical account of Noah’s ark and the flood. The Ark Encounter features the most authentic full-size replica of Noah’s Ark in the world, built according to the dimensions given in the Bible, with three decks of teaching exhibits. Ark Encounter is 45 minutes south of the Creation Museum.

The Creation Museum

At the 75,000-square-foot Creation Museum in Petersburg, KY, the pages of the Bible dramatically come to life. Read the biblical account (Genesis 5:32-9:17) before your trip. This will put things afresh in your minds.

The Encounter is located in Williamstown, KY and the Creation Museum is located in Petersburg, KY. That is approximately -16 hr (1,052 miles) away from Pearland Texas.

We leave from Pearland Texas – Harvest Point, April 30th 2023 at – 3:00am and will arrive in Wiliamstown Kentucky at 5:00pm.

We will have coordinated stops along the way.

We will be traveling in a 56 Passenger Charter Bus that provides an unforgettable atmosphere and an unsurpassed ride for as many as 56 passengers and a spacious under cabin luggage compartment. Other amenities include the following but is not limited to:

Click on the link below to see a list of items we recommend. We recommend bringing and wearing comfortable shoes – Expect to take at least three to four hours to get through the ark’s exhibits. Long, wheelchair accessible ramps connect each deck (no steps), however, there is also an elevator tucked away for those who need it.

What to pack in your carry on
You can pack food, snacks, and medication. Chargers etc.

Members are encouraged to bring their own snacks. We will be making stops for breakfast and lunch and to stretch if needed. Water will be provided by 55 PLUS MINISTRY.

MEDICATION AND HEALTH

PLEASE HAVE ALL MEDICATIONS, MEDICAL NEEDS, OR SUPPLIES IN A PLASTIC BAG TO CARRY ON THE BUS.

PLEASE ENSURE THAT ALL MEDICATIONS ARE LABELED WITH YOUR NAME DISPLAYED.

A FIRST AID KIT AND DEFIBRILLATOR WILL ALSO BE PROVIDED.

THERE WILL BE A LIABILITY FORM AND A EMERGENCY CONTACT FORM FOR MEMBERS TRAVELING DURING THIS TIME.

IF YOU HAVE ANY HEALTH ISSUES PLEASE INFORM US BEFORE DEPARTURE.

Ark Encounter is a one-of-a-kind museum in Williamstown, KY, and their weather this time of the year is on average highs 60 degrees and lows 50 degrees.

A deposit will be do on JANUARY 15 TH OF $50.00. The money collected can not be refunded it you are unable to attend. It will go towards your tithes and offering. The last payment must be paid by APRIL 1, 2023.

TOTAL COST FOR THE ENTIRE TRIP $250.00.

This does not include souveniers, which may be an additional $100.00 to $150.00.

Is there transportation?

Yes, transportation will be provided by Sam’s Limousine and Transportation.

Where will we stay for logging?

We will be staying at Embassy Suites by Hilton in Covington, KY.

What is the minimum deposit?

A $50 deposit is required to reserve your spot and is Due January 15th.

Do I need money?

It is encouraged to bring spending money to purchase food, snacks and memorabilia that may be available during our visit.

What should I wear?

Dress comfortable there is a lot of walking and standing.

How do we get from one museum to the next?

A shuttle takes you to the Ark. After purchasing your tickets, you will board the Ark Encounter shuttle and be driven 1 mile to the Ark.

What can I carry with me at the Ark?

Lockers are available at the Guest Services Building. Keep in mind that the bus may be far away and with large crowds, it could take some time to get there and back. Be sure to throw necessities in your purse, or small backpack or rent a locker for your time near the Ark.

Can I go if I have a wheelchair or need special assistance or if I have a stroller?

Strollers, wheelchairs and electric scooters are available for rent in the Guest Services building (with the lockers & ATM machine) near the Ark. You are free to bring your own as well.

Can I get Wifi?

Free wifi is available. Check the brochure for network and password info.

Are there any places to eat at the Ark?

Hungry or thirsty on the Ark? There is a snack station on Deck 1 where you can purchase an assortment of food and drinks. Please follow signs and instructions because some decks and exhibits don’t allow food or drinks.

Below is the Travel Itinerary for the Ark Encounter and Creation Museum Trip. This is not final but it gives a good snapshot of what to expect. Please note that times are subject to change and that due to unforseen circumstances beyond our control we may make adjustments accordinly.

Departing on Sunday, April 30th, 2023 and returning Wednesday, May 3rd, 2023.
